This project for a family home was designed for Gregory Phillips Architects and involved the complete refurbishment and remodelling of a townhouse in St John's Wood. The existing lower ground floor was subject to substantial structural changes, which allowed for a more open plan arrangment and the floor level was lowered considerably to make the ground floor feel more open and spacious and create a greater connection with the landscaped garden which is accessed through slimline sliding doors. One of the main features of the houses was the walnut clad staircase which sits at the heart of the house.

The house was entirely modernised and previous additions rationalised with a full upgrade of all services, underfloor heating, upgraded thermal insulation, a roof and loft refurishment, new windows, a minimal glazed extension to the garden at the rear, and a landscaped garden.
